The Basic, General information section introduces the student to the Perioperative environment and professional roles of the surgical team members. The Patient Care section is a comprehensive overview of the historical development of surgery and the practice of Surgical Technology. Professional conduct is discussed in conjunction with communication skills and surgical ethics.
